Accenture, Dreamforce, and Puppy Love™: Innovation with a Purpose

Dreamforce, Salesforce’s annual conference, is one of the largest tech conferences in the world. Thousands of people travel to San Francisco to share ideas and discuss the latest industry innovations. But Dreamforce is more than just a conference, it is an immersive and innovative experience where attendees can expect to learn, connect, have fun, and give back. And at Dreamforce 2022, attendees who stopped by the Accenture booth truly had the most unforgettable experience–and all for a good cause!

At Dreamforce 2022, Accenture launched their AccenturePets initiative, demonstrating their partnership with Salesforce to promote the transparency of sustainability in production, marketing, and transactions, all with an animal care and wellness theme. So what more “pawfect” way to illustrate their cause than by sponsoring a Puppy Love experience at their Dreamforce booth?

Throughout the three-day conference, thousands of Dreamforce attendees were lured to the Accenture booth to meet the stars of the show. We had the most gorgeous set up in the “Dreamforce National Park,” just steps away from a 30-foot waterfall. There was no missing our Puppy Love™ play pen! Even before the puppies arrived, people stopped by to marvel at our adorable Puppy Love™ set up and pay a visit to Accenture’s demo area to learn all about AccenturePets.

And all eyes were on the puppies when they made their grand entrance! Our local rescue partner, DPS – Doggie Protective Services, brought in seven of the cuddliest nine-week-old chocolate Goldendoodle puppies. We also had three smaller dogs, including one named “Billy” who had special needs but was loved by all. These puppies were rescued into the care of DPS and at the time of this event, were living in loving foster homes. And while the puppies were primarily there to learn how to socialize and share some Puppy Love™ with those who stopped by, our attendees were also very excited to hear that each one of the puppies was also ready for adoption! We had a wonderful DPS rescue volunteer on-site to answer any questions about the application process and ensure that potential adopters were ready to possibly bring a new friend home soon.

Dreamforce attendees got to snuggle, play fetch, and take selfies with puppies with Nursery Rhyme inspired names like “Humpty Dumpty,” “Little Jack Horner,” and “This Little Piggy.” The puppies had the time of their lives playing with new friends, learning how to socialize with unfamiliar humans, and getting all the snuggles they could have dreamed of during naptime. And after a few minutes of sweet naptime on a human lap, they got another burst of energy and it was playtime all over again.

We especially loved this partnership with Accenture because their mission aligned with ours to do something that people can feel good about, particularly helping pets in need! Accenture’s sponsorship helped Doggie Protective Services cover medical, food, transportation, and other costs for homeless pets they rescue every day. In addition to the sponsorship, Dreamforce attendees who stopped by voluntarily donated a total of $1500 to the rescue via Venmo and on-site donations! Doggie Protective Services is a non-profit that relies on donations for its operations, so corporate sponsorships are a huge help and additional donations are appreciated! Every Puppy Love™ experience supports a local rescue, and it is especially awesome when our client has a shared mission to take care of our furry friends.

Dreamforce attendees not only had a fun and relaxing experience in the middle of an extravagant conference, they felt good knowing their participation helped a local non-profit rescue and that Accenture is making the same commitment. Our guests felt happy, rejuvenated, and so motivated to learn more about a company that does something good for others. We can call it innovation with a purpose and cuddles for a good cause.

While all attendees left our booth with memories and photos they can look back on for the rest of their lives, a few actually started the application process with DPS to adopt one of the goldendoodles! And after careful application review by the rescue, within a few days after Dreamforce, every single puppy found its forever home (including Billy, the special needs pup!)

Everyone–puppies included–had such a wonderful time hanging out with the Accenture team. It was awesome to see a sustainability effort in action and we’re PROUD to have been a part of it!
