The Facts on Corporate Wellness

Workplace wellness has become an increasing focus for organizations around the world. Below are some industry statistics that highlight how this sector is developing:

The global corporate wellness market is estimated to reach $66 billion in 2022.

Approximately 75% of large employers and 33% of small companies run wellness programs.

The corporate wellness industry is being driven by increasing insurance costs related to growing obesity levels.

Medical costs for people classified as obese (over 40% of the US population) are $1,429 higher than those of normal healthy weight.

Well-designed wellness programs have a return on investment of 1.5-3 times the dollar amount spent over 2-9 years.

Corporate Puppy Therapy Experience

A experience does more than just allow your employees to socialize with irresistible puppies. While that in itself makes pretty much any day a winner, there is a far more beneficial impact the pups can have on your workforce.

It’s proven that interacting with animals has a highly positive effect on human mental health. Spending playtime or quiet time with a pet (or a gaggle of gorgeous Puppy Love visitors) is known to significantly help with anxiety and reduce stress levels.

The Benefits

Don’t just take our word for it. Trusted institutions like the Mental Health Foundation have stated that animal interaction can help with depression, stress, loneliness and even ADHD. There are also studies revealing that looking after a pet can positively impact people with Autism and Alzheimers.

When it comes down to it, sitting and playing with puppies just has a wonderfully nurturing effect. Imagine you’re at work, deadlines are piling up, colleagues are tense, meetings have been challenging.

Now comes a reminder in your calendar that it’s time to leave your desk, head to another room and spend an hour or so having fun with some adorable pups. You head to the event room with your colleagues, and are suddenly covered with loving puppies desperate to say hello and snuggle. How can your happiness not be elevated?

Good for Mental Health

So why exactly is corporate puppy therapy experience good for your employees’ mental well-being? A little time out to do something both fun hand calming has very positive mental health benefits. A Puppy Love™ experience encourages employees to take a much-needed break away from their desks and deadlines to clear their heads. The Mental Health Foundation states that just by sitting, stroking or playing with an animal, people are given the opportunity to relax and calm the mind.

Overall, a Puppy Love™ experience improves productivity, accuracy, and enthusiasm in the workplace. Animals are a great motivator for people, encouraging compassion and joy. And, thanks to the socializing aspect and being showered with love, it’s also great for the pups!

Good for the Puppies

Puppies need their playtime as an essential part of their socializing and development. Being introduced to new people and enjoying the interaction is a wonderful way for puppies to further develop their socializing and build their confidence. It can help them to understand how to play, make new friends and how to better understand the world around them.

The late veterinarian, animal behaviorist, author and lecturer Sophia Yin stated that incomplete socialization can result in dogs with emotional issues when around people or in certain situations. As such, the socialization they receive while playing with employees at our events is ideal to help them grow up happy. Puppy play through corporate puppy therapy experience benefits both pups and humans – everybody wins!

Our mission is to improve human health and well-being through the human-animal bond. By supporting the Puppy Love™ you are also supporting many rescues and helping save the life’s of many animals.

The Science

Engaging with animals elevates levels of the neurotransmitters serotonin and dopamine, which calm and relax. It also promotes the release of oxytocin, a hormone associated with affection and bonding, as found in a 2009 study by the peer-reviewed Hormones and Behavior scientific journal.

Playing with puppies – and other animals – can lower blood pressure and improve cardiovascular health. Healthline states that animal therapy can reduce anxiety and assist with depression, motivation, loneliness and improve interactions with others.
