From March 3–7, the Las Vegas skyline displayed towering cranes, massive equipment displays, and flags snapping in the desert wind. This signaled the return of CONEXPO, one of the largest trade shows in the world. With more than 140,000 attendees from across the globe, the event ranks as the third largest trade show in the United States, bringing together the heavy hitters of the construction, aggregates, and ready-mixed concrete industries.

Inside this massive gathering of builders, operators, and innovators, the Festival Grounds near the Las Vegas Strip became a hub of activity. SANY, one of the industry’s global leaders, created a welcoming destination filled with Southern hospitality. Visitors stepping into the SANY area were greeted by the smell of BBQ, the sound of a live country band, and the buzz of thousands of conversations happening at once.

Then something unexpected happened: in the middle of an event dominated by hard hats, steel, and horsepower, puppies completely stole the show.

The Puppy Love™ Puppy Park quickly became one of the most talked-about spots on the grounds. For an industry conference attended mostly by men, the response was remarkable. Contractors, engineers, and equipment operators who had spent the morning climbing through excavators or discussing infrastructure strategy suddenly found themselves sitting cross-legged on the turf with a puppy in their lap.

One attendee summed it up perfectly while waving coworkers over to the booth:
"Best marketing tactic ever. SANY did it right. Come pet these puppies."

The Puppy Love™ space created a dual experience that kept energy high and stress levels low throughout the week.

During the morning sessions, visitors were greeted by playful rescue puppies from Wagging Tails Rescue. The lineup included lovable Pug and Bulldog mixes, curious Dachshunds, and Shepherd mixes who spent their time happily greeting anyone willing to kneel down for a cuddle. Those tiny ambassadors had an incredible ability to soften the toughest crowd on the show floor. Even the most serious equipment operators could not resist stopping for a few minutes of puppy kisses.

Attendees also showed their generosity throughout the week. Many visitors donated directly to the rescue every single day, eager to support the mission behind the experience. Watching industry leaders reach into their pockets to help dogs find homes became one of the most meaningful parts of the event.

As the afternoon sun warmed the Festival Grounds, the therapy dog team took over the park. Michael’s Angel Paws arrived with a lineup of calm and experienced therapy dogs that instantly drew crowds. Gentle Golden Retrievers lounged happily beside visitors, fluffy Doodles greeted anyone who approached the fence, and two enormous Great Danes quickly became the celebrities of the fairgrounds. Their relaxed presence created a perfect balance for attendees navigating one of the largest and busiest trade shows in the world.

By the end of the week, word had spread across the show floor. People could be overheard directing colleagues toward the Puppy Love™ park with enthusiasm.

"I wish I knew this was here sooner," one attendee admitted while watching a puppy tumble across the grass. "I would have been here every day."

That kind of reaction speaks to the power of a simple moment of connection in a high-pressure environment. CONEXPO is a place where massive machines move mountains and deals are made that shape the future of infrastructure. Yet even in a setting defined by steel and horsepower, a handful of puppies managed to capture the spotlight.

This year, SANY created a destination where thousands of attendees could pause, breathe, and share a moment of happiness.

All pups come from our vetted, fully trusted rescue partners who ensure pups are happy and well cared for. 20% of all Puppy Love™ proceeds are donated back to our rescue partners to help cover their food and medical costs.
