Loving what her friend and colleague Sabrina had created with Puppy Love™ in the Bay Area, long-time entrepreneur Jennifer Gerich recognized an amazing opportunity with Puppy Love™ in the Southern California market — and she was not wrong! Recognizing how companies are seeking unique ways to show appreciation for their employees, support their mental health and fostering community in the workplace, Jennifer jumped on the chance to license and open Puppy Love™ LA. And it was off to the races!

Jennifer is renowned for her innate sales skills rooted in honesty, compassion, humor and overall people smarts.
An entrepreneurial risk-taker, Jennifer started Campos Creative Works, 30 years ago with her two partners, which went on to become a world-renowned leader in creative, strategic event and digital experiences for clients like Facebook, Dell, Softbank and VW.
With her oldest son graduated from college and on his own and her youngest finishing school, Jennifer was feeling the call to do something more community based; something that would give back. After experiencing Puppy Love™ events in the Bay Area and seeing the joyful benefits for corporate employees – as well as how they helped support puppy rescues from both a financial and awareness standpoint, Jen was sold. The perfect blend of her sales/event skills combined with her love of animals and passion for giving back, launching Puppy Love™ LA was her perfect next chapter.
For the past three years, Jennifer has continued to successfully build awareness of the Puppy Love™ brand all throughout southern California – up and down the coast as well as the Inland Empire and Palm Springs area. Her accountability, attention to detail and aesthetics in all of her events continues to build her client base with companies like SpaceX, the LA Clippers, Deloitte, Kaiser and Mercedes, to name just a few.
As her clientele expands, Jennifer’s biggest joy lies in the fact that she’s helping to support her rescue partners in the amazing work they do saving and re-homing puppies, dogs (and even kittens!) throughout the So. Cal area.
Meet Doug
When Jennifer's two boys were little, they were inexplicably scared of dogs - even puppies!
Then, at age 13, her youngest happily surprised her by asking for a puppy for his birthday. And just like that, Doug came into their lives! Rescued at 3 months, Jennifer and her family fell immediately in love with this crazy cute creature. After meeting up with one of Doug's siblings, who had his DNA done, they found out that Doug was a mix of Lab, Golden, Husky and German Shorthair Pointer. In other words he's a BIG boy (110 lbs).
He's the happiest, sweetest guy on earth and has no idea how big he is. He's happy to sit in your beach chair or hop on your lap wherever you choose to sit. Jennifer named Puppy Love™ LA's parent company after him: Douglas Enterprises, LLC, where he remains CEO to this day.

A graduate of Emerson College in Boston with a degree in Visual Media Arts Production, Calvin is working to find his place in the entertainment industry and also keeping his eyes open for other opportunities that strike his fancy. A talented producer, he’s also trying his hand at writing and acting. And this guy is also an avid animal lover and passionate about giving back, which makes him the perfect Puppy Coach for our events!

A Southern California native with a passion for spiritual growth through teaching breathwork, yoga and surf therapy, Nathaniel is also a dedicated dog lover (just ask his pup, Blue!). He is currently working on his master’s degree at the Pacifica Graduate Institute with an emphasis on working with and helping children and adolescents to help foster a sense of “okay-ness” and well-being. We feel extremely lucky to have him bring his skill set to Puppy Love™ where his interactions with clients and puppies are filled with compassion, humor and joy!

A recent graduate of Washington State with a degree in kinesiology, Christopher currently resides in back in Hermosa Beach where he grew up. As he pursues his career opportunities in sports medicine, he also enjoys time with his family and all that beach life has to offer. Lucky for us, he also loves being a Puppy Coach! Christopher is second to none when it comes to caring for our adorable pups and helping to educate people on their different backgrounds and unique personalities!

Back from his second year of college at Columbia in Chicago, Raf has decided he’s a true So Cal guy at heart and will finish out his college career in the Golden State. In the meantime, he works part-time in the production world, supporting film and commercial shoots throughout the LA area. The rest of his days allow him plenty of daytime for three of his key passions – surfing, drumming and puppies!

As a former professional dog walker and proud dog owner to an adorable pug mix named Phoebe, Jack is no stranger to playing with and caring for puppies, so becoming a Puppy Coach was a natural next step. We’re lucky to have him on events with his kind heart and sense of humor. When he’s not hanging with pups, Jack is busy getting his graduate degree in Elder Care and planning his upcoming wedding!

Alyssa’s love for animals began when she was a little girl, helping to care for the dogs and cats at her local Humane Society. Today, when she is not in the sky working as a flight attendant, she loves caring for friends’ pets. Alyssa loves when animals are on board her flights and sees just how impactful and healing a dog’s presence can be. Her greatest joy working Puppy Love™ events comes from seeing the sweet pups receiving love and in turn spreading joy among all those with whom they interact. Pure magic!

Working for Puppy Love™ has awakened Sony’s passion for supporting rescue puppies, providing them with love and care at these events in hopes they’ll soon find their forever home.

May 13, 2024Puppy Love LA is a great organization. The planning process with Jennifer was seamless, she answered all of our questions. We felt so supported through each step. The day of the event went off without a hitch, she and her team did a great job of keeping people moving in and out of the puppy area, and were so organized. Our one flaw was having people outside of our organization jumping into the puppy area too, but this was a lack of communication guidance on our part. 10/10 recommend this as an employee wellness activity. We will definitely book this again. Love supporting local rescues too!

In fact, scientific studies have shown positive therapeutic effects from animal interaction – including decreasing blood pressure and reduced levels of cortisol.
Puppy Love™ founder Sabrina Freed combined her two key passions: creating outstanding events and animal advocacy. A pioneer in the field of high-profile conferences Sabrina realized firsthand how employees would benefit from puppies in the workplace, and likewise, how employers would see results in worker efficiency, and wellness. A wonderful give-back, Puppy Love™ also donates 20% of all proceeds back into the local rescue community.
Puppy Love™ was started in San Francisco and serves all areas of northern and southern California. We also partner with rescues nationwide to provide Puppy Love™ experiences across the U.S.
Yes. Each location carries liability insurance of $2M to ensure our attendees and puppies are well covered.
All pups come from our vetted, fully trusted rescue partners who ensure pups are happy and well cared for. 20% of all Puppy Love™ proceeds are donated back to our rescue partners to help cover their food and medical costs.
